Sporting Information

There are over 20 golf courses on Mallorca and the nearest to Magaluf and Palma Nova are at Poniente Golf, Santa Ponsa I, Bendinat and Andratx. The furthest of those four is only about a 30 minute drive away. For further information click here.

Situated just 500 metres from the beach at Santa Ponsa, deep and within a 9 hectare pine forest, the Jungle Parc is the largest tree adventure course in the Balearic Islands. Using their skill and courage, visitors are challenged to move from tree to tree, all at varying heights from the ground, using a variety of bridges, ropes, vines and zip wires. For adults there is a choice of 2 courses, the "Explorer" and for the more experienced or adventurous, the "Extreme". For children aged from 4 to 11 years a specially designed "Pirates" course is also available. Unless you are visiting as part of a large group, there is no need to book, just turn up on the day, and each adventure lasts approximately 1.1/4 hours inclusive of a 15 mintute mandatory safety and traning session. Mallorca is a haven for those of you who enjoy water sports. Naturally, being an island there is every conceivable water sport you could think of, from SCUBA diving to fishing, from boardsailing to jet skiing, from swimming to water skiing, is all to be had locally. Just look around the beach area for signs and notices where you can partake in your favourite activity.

Nearly all bars in town show live sporting events on TV, with Premiership, Champions League and UEFA Cup matches dominating the screens from August to May. And don't forget, most bars show a LIVE Premier League game every Saturday afternoon - a luxury you don't get 'back home.'
