Hiring a Car or Scooter Hiring a Car Drivers must be over 21 and have held a full driving licence for two years. The breathalyser limit in Spain is 50 mg of alcohol to 100 millilitres of blood. In the UK it is 80 mg. Driving licence and passport must be available for police checks. In the event of an accident or breakdown red triangles must be placed forward and to the rear of the vehicle and flourescent vests must be worn while doing this. Hiring a Scoter Driving licence required for vehicles over 50cc. Passports required for registration. Crash helmets are compulsory. Don’t forget you are driving on the ‘opposite’ side of the road over here.
